Skeleton Archer, also known as the Purple Guardian or Faradox Guardian 3, is a type of special monster that can only be fought by consuming a Purple Guardian Key. The Purple Guardian's special ability is that it can shoot 1 of 4 different colored arrows. There is no known cooldown on any arrow color. The same color can be fired twice in a row.

The following effects (of being hit by an arrow) must be studied, in order to defeat the Purple Guardian:

Arrow Color	Effect
RED	Player cannot deal damage with melee attacks
GREEN	Player cannot deal damage with archery attacks
BLUE	Player cannot use magic abilities
BLACK	Next hit will deal massive damage, likely instant killing the player (this must be reflected and cannot be invisibled')'

(Note: According to in-game loot table recieved from console commands, a Diamond can drop at a 1/10 chance.)

The Purple Guardian's most useful drop is the large number of tainted coins. Tainted coins can be spent on castle floor 2.

The Fire Crystal, Red Chest and Portal #2 only drop once on the first kill.
