Orbs are special type of upgrades, which may help the player with many various skills. The chance of receiving orbs is also increased depending on the Key used when opening a chest and the chest type.

The relative value of some orbs change drastically depending upon the game mode. This is almost entirely due to a lack of market access.

Below are a pair of tier lists created in late Nov 2024.

Softcore Tier List

S - Game-changing, almost necessary for progression

A - Very helpful, massive time saver, though not needed

B - Useful, though limited in use

C - Not very helpful, but not completely useless

D - Very few uses, niche uses, or nearly irrelevant

F - Reroll if possible. Irrelevant.

* Hammer and Pickaxe orbs become useless after level 100, and become less helpful as your levels increase (except for pursuing leaderboard).
** Oil storage orb can be useful for a couple of achievements, but is mostly unnecessary
*** Boat orb affects Pirate Ship and Submarine, giving it much larger value late-game
**** Raid orb is a great time saver when needing/wanting to do raids, since you or people in a team can use it.
