The Magnet may be crafted after reaching 78 Crafting & 50 Invention which is used to filter through Junk from Gathering. It may also be upgraded using Gems to increase the speed of filtering Junk.

Note: the Magnet also provides Gathering xp after completing Junk Collector, so it is generally recommended you delay upgrading the magnet past emerald until Junk Collector is completed.

Basic Magnet	-	1 bag per 60 seconds (60 filtered bags/hour)
Sapphire Magnet		1 bag per 45 seconds (80 filtered bags/hour)
Emerald Magnet		1 bag per 20 seconds (180 filtered bags/hour)
Ruby Magnet		1 bag per 5 seconds (720 filtered bags/hour)
Diamond Magnet		1 bag per 1 second (3 600 per hour)
