The Magnet is a tool that may be crafted after reaching 78 Crafting & 50 Invention.

The Magnet filters passively through Junk from Gathering to generate 1 Junk bag for each junk filtered. It may be upgraded using Gems to increase the speed of filtering Junk. In addition to gem upgrades, the Magnet can also upgraded to give 1 Gathering xp per filtered junk bag.

As the xp from the fully upgraded magnet is very useful to get to higher gathering levels, it is generally recommended you do not upgrade your magnet with a ruby or diamond until Junk Collector is completed.

Sapphire Magnet		1 bag per 45 seconds (80 filtered bags/hour)
Emerald Magnet		1 bag per 20 seconds (180 filtered bags/hour)
Ruby Magnet		1 bag per 5 seconds (720 filtered bags/hour)
Diamond Magnet		1 bag per 1 second (3 600 per hour)
