The merchant is unlocked by completing the merchant [[Quests#Merchant|quest]]. The merchant offers 3 trades at a time. To refresh the merchant trades you must send them away for 24 hours. Alternatively, you can drink the [[Brewing#Merchant_Speed_Potion|Merchant Speed Potion]] to instantly refresh the merchant trades after sending them away. The potion must be drank before sending the merchant. If you complete all 3 merchant trades you will still need to send the merchant away to refresh their trades.
The [[Thiefs_Mask|Thiefs mask]] gives you a 20% chance of keeping your items when trading.
