General information

The Undead Yeti is the third monster in the Mansion Raid. As such, it does not drop anything. Its main purpose, along with other Mansion monsters, is to slightly damage the players so they either waste Mana healing, or taking damage, to make the fight harder against the Undead Leader.

Attacks

In addition to basic attacks, the Undead Yeti has an Ice Storm attack.

  • Ice Storm: The Undead Yeti summons a storm and fills the screen with ice. If this attack is allowed to finish, the player(s) die instantly. This cannot be reflected or dodged with Invisibility. To counteract this, at least one player must cast Fireball. This will disable the attack.

Strategy

The Undead Yeti, like the regular Yeti, is in a cold area. This means cold-resistant armor is required, like the Bear Armor or the Frozen Crocodile Armor. Players should attack the Undead Yeti with a Scythe or preferably a Scythe+. Player(s) should additionally cast Fireball whenever an Ice Storm occurs.

  • Mana conservation: With proper planning and communication, players may take turns, or appoint a dedicated player to cast Fireball to conserve the team's mana, as it only must be cast once to disable an Ice Storm.

The Undead Yeti is the third monster in the Mansion Raid. As such, it does not drop anything. Its main purpose, along with other Mansion monsters, is to slightly damage the players so they either waste Mana healing, or taking damage, to make the fight harder against the Undead Leader. In Hard mode, its base stats are buffed.

  • Minimize basic attack damage: The Undead Yeti's basic attacks can hit very hard, and on hard difficulty, they are very accurate as well. This is most noticeable in a small team or solo, as the Undead Yeti's attacks target a random player. Players are recommended to keep empowered Reflect active whenever they can in this fight, to lessen the impact of the basic attack damage.
  • Yeti Micro: If this fight is done in a duo, or solo, the player will be targeted by the Undead Yeti's basic attacks more often than in a larger team. Instead of staying on a lower defense full cold-resistance setup, the player may consider a more difficult tactic involving switching to a different preset with more defense, sacrificing 1 health on every attack to further lessen damage taken from basic attacks.
    • Setup: In addition to their usual cold-resistant preset, the player should prepare another, but swap out one armour piece with another with higher defense, e.g. by switching out a Frozen Crocodile Body, and replacing it with a Dragon Body, the player's defense increases by 8. If the player is using a plugin to switch presets and wishes to employ this technique, it is recommended to use the vanilla preset slots (1-5), for example, the higher defense setup on slot 4 and the full cold-resistance setup on slot 5, because the additional slots introduced by plugins are slower, which may cause missed ticks.
    • Execution: The Undead Yeti uses its basic attack at every multiple of 5 on the timer seen in the top left corner of the screen (e.g. on 100, on 105, on 110 etc.). The player should use their main cold-resistant setup on most ticks, switch to their altered setup on the tick of the basic attack, then switch back. If done correctly, with full Frozen Crocodile Armour, a Dragon Body, a Dragon Shield and a Master Ring the Undead Yeti's basic attacks hit around 20% of the time, instead of the usual 80% without this technique.
