Fishing is a type of skill which is unlocked after completing Fisherman Quest. This skill allows the player to catch different types of fish with a few types of fishing equipment.
All fish may be caught from level 1, but their rarity varies. Catching fish is entirely passive and requires no input, with an increased rate as your fishing skill increases.

Boats
Fish may also be caught with boats, which may be created via the Crafting skill. Boats will bring random fish, increasing in rarity for each boat.
Image | Boat Type | Crafting Level needed to obtain | Duration |
---|---|---|---|
Row Boat | 24 | 3 Hours | |
Canoe | 39 | 6 Hours | |
Stardust Ship | 60 | 10 hours | |
Pirate Ship | 92 | 24 hours | |
Submarine | Elite Fishing Achievement | 48 hours |
The Pirate Ship does not provide fish. It has a chance to kidnap Evil Pirates.
The Submarine also does not primarily provide fish (although on occasion it gives an Angler Fish. It mainly provides Seaweed, Sea Molten Glass, Ancient Broken Keys, and Mixed Treasure Chests.
After crafting the Boating Dock at level 69 Crafting, the player will be able to send out 2 boats at once instead of one.
Aquarium
The Aquarium may be obtained from level 50 gathering from the Quiet Pond. Once obtained, specific types of fish may be placed inside and cared for to gain additional Fishing experience. The fish placed in the Aquarium depend on the player's Fishing level.
To care for the fish, the player must feed these fish with either Maggots or Bait. Feeding the fish 10 Maggots will result in fish being satisfied while feeding the fish 1 Bait will result in fish being happy, which will also give 5x the Fishing experience. Super Bait gives 20x xp, and Mega Bait gives 50x xp. Feeding cooldown is 24 hours.
The player may only have 1 type of fish in the tank at a time. Replacing the fish with a higher or lower level fish will give the player the previously placed fish back.
Currently these types of fish may be cared for within the Aquarium:
